New Filtration System
Village of Cullom received funding of $1.4 million with 100% principal forgivingness from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) for this new Iron and Manganese Filter System.
In September of 2020 the Village of Cullom along with Piggush Engineering applied for a loan from the IEPA. However, in June of 2023 the village was notified that it was one of seven state wide projects that would receive a grant, not a loan.
The old filtration was constructed in 1985 and was past its useful life. This grant allowed the Board to complete engineering and construction with no cost to the village.
